Home-cooked Comfort: Savory Beef Stroganoff Delight

Homemade beef stroganoff is a comforting and flavorful dish that can easily be made using pantry staples. By creating your own blend of dry ingredients, such as paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder, you can infuse the dish with a depth of flavor that rivals any family recipe. With just a few simple steps, you can have a hearty and delicious meal on the table in no time, perfect for satisfying the whole family's cravings on a cozy evening at home.

Ingredients:

-        2/3 cups dry milk

-        1 TBSP Sour Cream Powder

-        2 tsp Onion Powder

-        2 tsp Garlic Powder

-        1 tsp Pepper

-        1 ½ tsp Salt

-        1/8 tsp Basil

-        1/8 tsp Oregano

-        1 tsp Paprika

-        3 TBSP Brown Gravy Mix or Poultry Gravy

-        1 ½ Cornstarch

-        3 Cups of Noodles (I usually just fill my Mason Jar to the top with Shell noodles and it has been just enough)

Directions:

1.    In a quart mason jar combine all dry ingredients to make the stroganoff mix

Making Beef Stroganoff:

1.    Brown your ground beef in a pot, drain any excess grease (I usually buy one pound of 93/7)

2.    Add 1 cup of water and the Beef Stroganoff mixture. Bring this to a boil.

3.    Reduce heat to a simmer and let it sit for 10-15 minutes to allow sauce to thicken. If noodles are still not cooked just add a small amount of water and let it simmer longer.

Notes: One of my favorite recipes to have on hand for a quick meal. I prep my jars and place them in the pantry when ready to use. You can add mushrooms but it just isn’t my style. Lastly, my rule of thumb on expiration date is the date on the noodle box.
